The story behind this painting

This painting is inspired by a woman who lived in Brazil, and had always been fascinated by the exotic birds that populated her homeland. One day, she found a toucan with a broken wing and nursed it back to health. They became inseparable, exploring the forest together, until one day she set it free. Though she never saw the toucan again, she felt joy knowing it was living its life in the wild.
